Bowel Cancer Screening Program (BCSP) Volunteer Champion

Be part of an enthusiastic and dynamic team helping promote, raise awareness and champion the Bowel Cancer Screening Program, raising awareness through helping deliver community based promotional events throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.

Helping signpost people into the program, where requested.

Helping to set up events on the day (promotional stalls and giant inflatable bowel)

Training will be given prior to undertaking the role.

What skills do I need?

Friendly confident and good communication skills

Lived experience or knowledge of this area desirable but not necessary.

Driving licence (not necessary) and ability / availability to travel

Capable of light manual handling  (promotional materials)

Willingness to attend training as and when

we will be initially running 12 events over the next 6 months through out Lancashire and South Cumbria, we are flexible on availability to volunteer at events however do require commitment to events and training. The training will be delivered during the working week as most of the promotional events
