Volunteer Telephone Befriender

Sightline vision Northwest LTD

We are looking for a telephone befriender volunteer who can spare 1 hour per week working from home or wherever they choose. We will match up befriender and client based on common interests. 

This role offers telephone friendship to visually impaired people who have faced feelings of loneliness and isolation. 

All calls are confidential, no telephone numbers are exchanged - befriender and client are connected by Sightline.  

What skills do I need?

Use of telephone.

Good communicator, empathetic, friendly, caring and a good listener. 

Reliable.

When do I need to be available?

Morning Afternoon Evening
