Why not lend a hand at one of our vibrant retail shops in: Bamber Bridge, Buckshaw Village, Chorley, Calder Park (Chorley), Fulwood, Leyland, or Middlebrook Retail Park.

Role Title: Volunteer Shop Assistant

Location: Regenerage Shop (various locations)

Reports to: Shop Manager/Assistant Manager/Shop Assistant

Hours: Flexible – Shifts are flexible

Purpose of the role

To support the day-to-day running of the shop, helping to raise vital funds that enable Regenerage to deliver services for older people, carers, and families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a warm and friendly welcome to customers.
  • Serve customers at the till, handle cash and card payments.
  • Sort, price, and display donated goods.
  • Keep the shop floor clean, tidy, and well-presented.
  • Assist with stock rotation and replenishment. Help create eye-catching window and shop displays.
  • Promote Gift Aid to donors.
  • Work as part of a team with staff and other volunteers.
  • Follow health and safety, safeguarding, and data protection guidelines.

Additional Notes

  • Must be aged over 18 years.
  • Required to have a DBS check, which is funded by the organisation.
  • Expected to undertake training, including following policy and procedure.
  • Expected to demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organisation.
  • Expected to demonstrate professionalism, whilst having a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
