Stepping Out Volunteer

Age UK Blackburn with Darwen

The Stepping Out Service has been set up to provide much needed support to encourage older people to engage in community activities following a significant life change such as bereavement, relocation, change in circumstances.

Volunteers will provide time limited support to accompany people to activities, going for walks or just shopping until they have built up the confidence to do it themselves. Support is tailored to the individual to empower them to build connections, access community support and improve their wellbeing.

We are asking for 2 hours of time per week to support the older person.
