Outreach Volunteer Opportunity

We are looking for compassionate women volunteers to join our outreach team and support vulnerable women in our local community.
Outreach will take place once a week from 9:30pm to 11:30pm, and we are building a rota-based team. You can choose to volunteer weekly, monthly, or every six weeks, depending on your availability.

The purpose of outreach is to provide practical and emotional support to women, helping with their basic needs and offering a safe, understanding presence. The team will always be led by a trained Women’s Support Worker.

What skills do I need?

We’re looking for women volunteers who are compassionate, non-judgemental, and reliable. Outreach work requires sensitivity and emotional resilience, as well as the ability to engage respectfully with women from all backgrounds.

Key skills include:
Good communication and listening skills
Empathy and patience
Discretion and respect for confidentiality
Teamwork and a willingness to learn
Reliability and punctuality

No previous experience is required, as full training will be provided. What matters most is your commitment to supporting vulnerable women and being a consistent, caring presence during outreach.

When do I need to be available?

We would require volunteers for a two hour outreach that takes place every week in the local area. Volunteers will be able to select what weeks they can do.
