The Loom Community Arts
I would like to kindly encourage volunteers to consider this opportunity. My steering group - The Loom Community Arts - organises cosy and intimate, alcohol-free music events featuring amazing local artists, newcomers and anyone interested in performing live music, poetry and spoken word. You will be given an opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of setting up for live music performances, chat to the artist, watch how a stage is prepared and try your hand at backstage work, MCing, helping artists and crew. We welcome people passionate about live music.
These include: meeting and greeting guests and artists, potentially making hot drinks using a coffee machine, selling food and drinks, moving light furniture. Interest in live music performance, production and preparation. Helping unload music equipment, set up for performance. Trying out MCing (with supervision). General tidying up after the event.
