Role and Responsibilities
Residential events consist of outdoor activities such as rock climbing, hill walking, canoeing, kayaking, sailing and long distance walks. The role of a Get Active Guide will include the following responsibilities;
• Guiding visually impaired people
• Hazard Awareness
• Assisting in various outdoor pursuits activities
The role does not include personal care for our service users, it is more of a general assistance role. All relevant training will be provided.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• A willingness to take part
• Physically fit
• A love of the outdoors in all weather conditions (for outdoor volunteers)

Our events often take place Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm, however we do have activities on evenings and weekends too, with some residentials involving staying over night or for a number of days.
