Lets Grow Preston
We operate 2 community gardens in the Preston area. We grow fruit and vegetables, flowers and plants. Volunteering is at the heart of Lets Grow Preston, as we are a community organisation with many of our activities and groups run by volunteers.
Let's Grow Preston has a number of volunteering opportunities and you can be involved as little or as much as you like. We can adapt all activities and tasks to your needs.
We work local community groups and schools. We run workshops and attend local events. We support foodbanks by using our van to do weekly collections from Fareshare. During the summer months we collect surplus produce from allotments sites across Preston and share it with many different community groups.
This involves basic gardening activities such as planting, weeding, sowing, food growing, pruning and grass cutting.
We will help you get started, no experience needed.

Don't worry if you've never gardened before as we use social and therapy in horticulture to ensure that everyone learns how to sow seeds and care for plants. There are lots of picture guides and staff are on hand to support and develop your skills.
