Gardening and ground maintenance volunteer

The Little Potting Club

The Little Potting Club is looking to appoint a gardening and ground maintenance volunteer. 

No gardening experience is necessary however the role will require the use of gardening tools, a drill and other hand tools. The club needs help to look after the veg beds, ground and green maintenance alongside general maintenance such as maintaining veg beds and moving of compost and soil etc. We need help with heavy lifting and general green maintenance such as cutting back, weeding, planting, composting and keeping the area tidy. It is a small space and so not too overwhelming. A volunteer will be there to assist and guide.

Currently we carry out these duties on Tuesdays between the times of 9am -12pm. However other days can be arranged during the week days for a couple of hours. Refreshments are included and the use of the park cabin which has a toilet and kitchen facilities. All tools, PPE and tool training will be provided.

What skills do I need?

Able to lift items such as compost bags and wood, move wheelbarrow loads, use gardening hand tools including a battery drill.
