Environmental work

Friends of Haslam Park

Balsam bashing, tree planting, tree removal, coppicing, pond work, orchard work, grass cutting and raking, hedge maintenance, wildlife surveys, sensory and rose bed maintenance and so on.

Our work days and mornings are typically:

The second Thursday of the month, 10-3, meet at the allotment cabin. Bring a packed lunch and suitable work-wear, like gardening gloves and stout shoes / wellys. Working typically on the nature reserve / woodland / orchard.

The last Saturday of the month, 10-12, meet at the allotment cabin. Working typically on the rose garden / sensory garden.

What skills do I need?

A willingness to 'get stuck in' with outdoor work.
