Electrical Pat Tester

Purpose of the role

As a PAT tester, you will be responsible for performing visual and electronic tests on electrical devices in preparation for re-sale. Ensuring all tests and checks are accurately recorded as per the organisations PAT procedures.

Main Responsibilities

• Carry out PAT testing in accordance with the organisations PAT guidelines. 

• Record inspections and test results using the relevant paperwork.  

• Clean and prepare passed items ready for re-sale. 

• Ensuring workspaces are kept in clean and orderly condition.  

• Adhering to the organisations Health and Safety policy.


What skills do I need?

Skills and Qualities Needed

You ideally are certified in PAT Testing (City & Guilds 2377 or equivalent), have hands on experience conducting PAT Tests and can work both independently and collaboratively. Training can be given if you have an interest in these skills but don’t hold the qualification. You will help to enforce our Health and Safety policy within the workspace and wider premises.

Additional Notes

• Must be aged over 18 years.

• Required to have a DBS check, which is funded by the organisation.

• Expected to undertake training, including following policy and procedure.

• Expected to demonstrate a commitment to the mission, vision and values of the organisation. 

• Expected to demonstrate professionalism, whilst having a positive and enthusiastic attitude.

We are very flexible and only require 4 hour shift as a minimum but will always welcome more.
