Chat Line Volunteer

N-Compass (Carer Support)

CHAT line is our Carers Help and Talk Line, a telephone service that offers support to unpaid Carers.

Our CHAT line gives registered carers the opportunity to chat with volunteers. The carer may have a problem they need support with, they may need someone to listen to them or they may just want to chat about Coronation Street!

We will match you with a Carer who would like to receive weekly calls, for you to check in on them every week for a catch up and friendly chat.

This volunteering role take place from the comfort of your own home and there will be no costs to you. We have a system that ensures that the carer will not know your number and you will not know theirs either.

Our chat line volunteers provide carers with regular befriending support by offering a listening ear and social contact on a weekly basis.

Our CHAT line is led by volunteers from all ages and backgrounds, this important service provides a lifeline to carers which can make a huge difference to their health and wellbeing, in addition to providing a rewarding experience for our volunteers.
