Children's Oral Health Educator

Dentaid - BrightBites

BrightBites is an oral health education initiative for children up to 11 years old. Volunteers visit childcare settings, schools and holiday clubs to deliver an interactive presentation that covers toothbrushing, teeth names and their functions, sugar awareness and the importance of regular dental appointments. We provide all teaching resources to support the volunteers for the session, including a toothbrush & toothpaste tube for every child to take home, to continue a positive oral health journey.

What skills do I need?

Volunteers do not need to have clinical qualifications, all that is required is confidence to deliver and a DBS - which we will arrange for you.

When do I need to be available?

Morning Afternoon Evening

Volunteers can host sessions when is convenient for them and the childcare organisation/school. Visits could also be hosted at weekends via community groups, libraries etc.

    Dentaid will arrange a DBS for you, this will be put through once a visit is secured, with a months notice allowed.
